TREATMENTS

Struggling with severe back pain? Find relief from pain with intrathecal pump therapy at Allay Spine & Pain Management. Relieve your pain with intrathecal pump therapy today!

Intrathecal Pump Therapy is a surgical procedure that implants a device to deliver medication directly to the fluid surrounding the spinal cord.

Intrathecal Pump Therapy delivers medication directly into the fluid surrounding the spinal cord through an implanted pump. It may be considered for carefully selected patients with severe, persistent Chronic Pain, Neuropathy, Complex Regional Syndrome, or Muscular Pain when other appropriate treatments have been insufficient. Suitability depends on the cause of pain and the medication being considered.

Pain control is possible for years with medication adjustments and maintenance. Pump batteries commonly last about 5–7 years.

Patients will be under general or local anesthesia and will not experience any pain. However, post-surgical discomfort is common as the incisions and soreness heals and pain gradually fades.

The team at Allay ensure you’re informed and part of every conversation when it comes to your treatment.
